*needs another pot of coffee*

Thermo was fun. Yes, very, very fun. A lecture class with 2 people....and a classroom for 60. We're likely going to move around, and switch times so we have Fridays off. Always a plus with me...means I get to spend Fridays in the lab.

I did laundry today. Woohoo. It was needed.

I opened two accounts yesterday at National City. The reason for this choice? This bank is all over the damn city. They're all over the damn campus. I will never get charged an ATM fee as long as I'm in Kalamazoo. I have a savings account and a checking account. And as soon as my new debit card comes in, I'm kissing Charter One goodbye. And I'll probably open another savings account and dump whatever's left there into it, so it can be my rainy day fund. Being a grad student on a stipend with tuition reimbursement pays a HELL of a lot better than food service worker at the MUB did the past 2 years. I have a strong suspicion that analytical chemist at Akzo was probably my best-paying job though.

Nora and I are going to Roadhouse tomorrow night for drinks. I'll probably have dinner too, since I do rather enjoy the food there as well. I guess I better actually do the homework I have to get done tonight then...arg. Wait.....

Well, I should head off to lab now.

So you think thermo will be an easy A then, since there's only two people?

Or will he grade on a bell curve... One person gets an A, one gets an F (with an average of a C), or just 2 C's, or something... :-P

The high level grad classes here are pretty much graded from A-B scales. If you never show up and don't do shit ever, then yeah, you'll fail. But it's highly unlikely that Dr. Schreiber is going to put any one of us on academic probation just to maintain a bell curve.

Thermo was fun.

(still... trying... to wrap... brain... around... sentence...)

Small classes are awesome. My smallest grad course still had seven people, though, so color me envious.

And yay for drinks! A handful of us went out for margaritas and dinner at the local Mexican place (half price pitchers = good). Just what I needed midway through this week.

*must work on internet sarcasm...and finishing thoughts*

We ended up getting kicked out about 10 minutes early from the next class, and Dr. Schreiber is a rather charismatic prof. So at least we stayed awake, as opposed to inorganic, which is taught by my advisor, who I adore, but who also keeps putting me into a coma every class period.

So maybe not fun, but really, the class was rather enjoyable.
