Bush spent a fair amount of time talking about health care yesterday, as well.

The immediate goal is to make sure there are more people on private insurance plans. I mean, people have access to health care in America,” he said. “After all, you just go to an emergency room.”




Okay, in all honesty, my dog might not be smarter than my president (it's a tough one to call), but he certainly cares about people more than this jackass does.

How can anyone say something so callous and stupid and live with themselves?

So... we just go to the emergency room, huh?

And then we... get outrageous bills...shirk said outrageous bills... have creditors on our asses... have to go to different hospitals for future injuries because of said unpaid outrageous bills... and then owe them money, too. (This is not a made up scenario, this is my life.)

And yeah, I've had that as my life at points too. I did have access to the student health care before I quit school, which was a damn sight cheaper, but I still owe over $500 for one visit because I wasn't insured...

Oh lord, I wish the blogs I read made it a bit easier to find stuff. Or that I wasn't so lazy. :p

There was a big story a few weeks ago about people who died in an emergency room because they were uninsured and nobody would look at them. The person was barfing up blood, people were stepping around them, the blood got cleaned up, but nobody would examine this person.

The asshole is strong with that one.

I know there are hospitals where you're "supposed to go" if you're uninsured. but. If you are VOMITING BLOOD. jesus.
That. is BEYOND RIDICULOUS.

I'm really lucky 'cause even though I've got crap free "insurance" that covers doctor visits and limited prescriptions through the county, I was able to keep my same doctor 'cause the office where she works participates in the program.
And she's also my neighbor and has known me since I was seven years old. My sister used to babysit for her kids. Needless to say I get really good care.

Faith looks her best on Angel, I think. Any of the times. Maybe not 'Five by Five' but the one right after it which name escapes me at the moment, she looks really pretty there. / end shallowness!

Sweet! Thanks. I was beginning to get royally bored with the internet lately. I have no life, you see...

The episode right after Five by Five is Sanctuary, and I think that might be my favorite Faith episode. Well, until Buffy shows up. And pretty much everytime after that when Buffy and Faith are onscreen together, I have to give a lot of credit to Faith for not kicking the shit out of Buffy's bitchy unforgiving snotty ass.
