Due to the incompetance of the state government, Michigan is seriously fucked.


I don't even know where to begin bitching about this one, except I think my friends could run the government better than just about every assclown who runs and then gets elected.



ETA: According to my brother, who's been following this pretty closely, they have passed some sort of budget or emergency plan, and the state has not shut down. Yay? They're still assclowns for letting it get that close though.

A friend of my mom's works for the State, and it's really going to hurt them if they can't work for longer than just one day-- I'm more keen on throwing flamethrowers at the Capital building and all of the fucking idiotic politicians!

I don't think it'll last longer than a couple days, because the damage will be IMMENSE if it seriously takes longer than that to work some sort of budget compromise out.

Actually, the war in Iraq is what, 200 billion, 400 billion per DAY, and Michigan is 150 million in debt? How come Michigan has to cut all its essential services while the fucking feds still get to have their incredibly unpopular war?

If they don't fix it, then YEAH. This is bullshit. Kinda glad I got the FOAD from Dow, really bummed that so much of my friends and family are still there.

I have a few ideas about running the government, but I'm too smart and too poor to ever run. :\

Everyone has their opinions about this. I personally think she shouldn't close the state because she can't figure out how to spend money. with the end of travel season and the start of the hunting seasons(its opening day for archery deer) she picked a grand time to fuck up things even more. Another thing I don't understand is why she closed all her revenue generating places and things, but left what they spend it on up and running. I'm sorry but I have a hard time giving money to people who roll up in a brand new navigator on 24's or 26's that want money for food and to pay their electric bill.

My opinion? If you're gonna be a politician, grow the fuck up, remember your job is to serve the people, and quit trying to get your way all the fucking time. Also, quit making the damn job of politician only open to rich people who can spend all their own money campaigning, since they have no fucking clue what it's like to actually be an average person living in this country.


And yeah, have a fucking backup plan in place for when the shit hits the fan.
