Nebraska makes history.

Nebraska and Maine are the only two states that may split their electoral vote based on what the vote tallies are in their congressional districts.
Neither state has ever split its vote before.
Until now. Omaha has gone blue.

That and I'm still just a wee bit bitter about what happened in 2000(Bush did not win the popular vote). But it won't happen anytime soon. Hence cheering when states go blue.
A part of me is also holding out hope that the two-party system we have going dies and we end up with three or four viable parties. I don't know too many people who hard-line agree with either Republican or Democrat candidates, but it seems like every four years this country gets split into two camps. An all-out brawl would be that much more interesting. :p
