meimichanOk, the nightmare that was yesterday is over, and my advisor said she'd shoot me for turning my paper in somewhat late. I think she was kidding...I asked her why she hadn't just shot me on Sunday instead. I would've appreciated it then.
In the meantime, it was pretty much confirmed that I bombed the exam last week, so I got questioned about that. I told the truth-that Ch. 10 had made no fucking sense, and we didn't exactly cover all of it in class. If we'd done it in class, I knew it. If we hadn't, then likely I didn't get it. No clue how bad my grade actually was, but in any case, I think it was pointed out that I had nobody around to clarify shit for Ch. 10 for me.
My students whined and bitched about clean-up points deducted from them. Apparently a few thought it was because one group left reactions running on their bench, and I just deducted points from everyone for that. *HEADDESK* (ooh, wait, I HAVE that icon) No, try it was because damn near everyone left dangerous chemicals lying around opened and all that shit, and created a safety hazard for everyone and a migraine for me. I was going to spend the afternoon grading exams, but nah, no answer key for that. I just want to get grading over with and done. But hey, why not put it off for awhile? Yeesh.
I also have practice tests to do for thermo, and a periodic table to memorize for inorganic. Actually, I did just practice periodic table memorization while proctoring the exam. Just another 12 elements to go...who knows, I might pass the next quiz in inorganic.
Amy and I are hopefully going for haircuts next week. Good, I need a haircut, and I'm probably not going to see much of Amy except at APO stuff after next week, so hopefully that'll work out and be fun. I'll need a break from studying for finals, if nothing else.
I bought 3 CD's on Saturday. Tori Amos' new one, The Beekeeper, and The Cars Greatest Hits. Oh yeah, the 3rd one was Mitch Hedburg doing standup. He's not as good as Lewis Black by far, but he's still pretty funny. Lewis Black has a new CD coming out either this week or next. Trust me, I'm buying it. :) And going to see him in Akron, OH on May 20th. My parents have decided to bribe me to come visit with Lewis Black tickets. I'll take bribes. :D
